1. What is The Map Challenge? It is an interactive global map where you can sponsor a website through a country marker. Click a country, make a sponsorship payment, and optionally submit your website link. Once confirmed, the country gains points and your qualifying link is published on that selected marker.
2. How do points and the ranking work? Each confirmed sponsorship payment adds points to the selected country. A higher amount adds more points. Countries are ranked by their total points.
3. Is this a charity or a donation platform? No. This is an independent online sponsorship project, not a charity or donation platform. Your payment supports the project and gives you the option to publish a qualifying website link on your selected map marker.
4. Where does the money go? Sponsorship payments help cover payment processing, infrastructure, maintenance, new features, and the work required to run and improve The Map Challenge. The project may generate income for the person or team running it.
5. How can I sponsor my website? 1. Click a country on the map. 2. Choose your sponsorship amount. 3. Enter your website link, if you want one. 4. Complete the payment. 5. Once confirmed, the country receives points and your qualifying link is published on that exact marker.
6. How can I become a Captain? Every country has a Captain. The user with the highest confirmed single payment for that country becomes its Captain. You may use a display name or remain Anonymous.
7. How do crypto payments work? Manual crypto transfers require verification after you submit the transaction ID. Crypto Checkout payments are processed automatically by NOWPayments and add points only after payment confirmation.
8. What happens to my name, email, location, and link? The selected marker location is public and appears on the live map after confirmation. If you enter a display name, it may be shown publicly as a Captain if it qualifies and on the relevant country sponsor page after confirmation. Your email is optional, is never displayed publicly, and is only used to communicate about your payment or message. Your optional sponsored link is public on the selected map marker and opens in a new tab. It is a visibility placement on the map, not an SEO service; it must follow our Terms, and clicks, traffic, sales, and search ranking are not guaranteed.

What you are supporting
The Map Challenge is an independent worldwide online map game where you can sponsor a website through a country marker. Click a country, choose an amount, and optionally submit your website link. After confirmation, the country gains points and your qualifying link is published on that selected marker.
Not a charity
This is not a charity or a fundraising campaign for a third party. Sponsorship payments support participation in the game, optional link placement, and payment processing, infrastructure, maintenance, development, and ongoing operation. The project may generate income for its operator.
Captain status
Points have no cash value and are not transferable. The Captain of a country is the user with its highest confirmed single payment. Captain status may change when a higher confirmed payment is made. A display name submitted with a confirmed sponsorship may also appear on that country's public sponsor page. There are currently no active prizes, lotteries, raffles, or guaranteed rewards.
Sponsored links
After confirmation, a website link that follows the Terms is published on the selected marker as a Sponsored link. It is a visibility placement on the map, not an SEO service or a sale of search authority, and it opens in a new tab. Links are not an endorsement and no clicks, traffic, sales, search ranking, or other commercial result is guaranteed. Unsafe, unlawful, misleading, or abusive links can be removed.
Payments and data
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Manual crypto transfers require verification; Crypto Checkout payments are processed automatically by NOWPayments after payment confirmation. Names, emails, and sponsored links are optional. Emails are never displayed publicly. A display name submitted with a confirmed sponsorship may appear publicly as a Captain and on the relevant country sponsor page. The selected point on the map may be displayed publicly as a marker, including its optional sponsored link, but payment amounts, emails, transaction references, and approximate origin country are not public.
Refunds and questions
Payments are not automatically refundable. For a duplicate, unauthorised, or technically incorrect payment, contact us so the case can be reviewed individually. Crypto transactions cannot normally be reversed once sent.
