THE MAP CHALLENGE

Terms of Use

Last updated: 23 July 2026

The Map Challenge is an independent worldwide online map game. By using the website or making a payment, you agree to these Terms of Use.

How the challenge works

A confirmed payment adds points to the country selected by the participant and may affect its position in the public ranking. Points are part of the game only: they have no cash value, are not transferable, and do not create ownership, investment rights, or a right to a future reward.

Captain status belongs to the highest confirmed single contribution for a country and may change when a higher confirmed contribution is received. A display name may appear publicly only if it becomes the Captain name.

Payments

The Map Challenge is not a charity and does not collect funds for a third-party organisation. Payments support participation in the challenge and help fund the project's payment processing, infrastructure, maintenance, development, and operation. The project may generate income for its operator.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Crypto contributions are manually reviewed before points are added. You are responsible for providing accurate payment and transaction information and for using the correct crypto asset and network.

Current rewards

There are currently no active prizes, lotteries, raffles, contests, or guaranteed rewards. Any future promotion will be announced separately with its own rules before it begins.

Fair use

You must not attempt to manipulate payments, rankings, map data, technical systems, or other participants. We may reject, correct, suspend, or remove contributions that appear fraudulent, duplicated, technically invalid, or abusive.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms when the project changes. For questions, contact [email protected].
